Awakening to Our Radiance

Awakening to Our Radiance

Why is trusting ourselves so hard? I’ve been pondering this question of late after some very deep introspection on what was holding me back from truly going after my dreams.

And, it boiled down to not trusting myself and believing fully in myself. In the core, in the depths.

It took some unplugging, silence, meditation, and two friends telling me like it was to see this in its entirety.

Why are we not able to see our full radiance as it really is?  Why are we afraid of shining bright and truly owning our power?

I believe much of this has to do with our loss of connection with our ancient birthright and wisdom that lies within our connection with the Earth.

For most of my adult life, I felt like I was searching. Searching for the next certification, the next level of healing, the next thing to make me feel WHOLE. Then, I went through a complete transformation that changed everything.

I KNEW on the primal level that everything I was searching for was false. That only within myself and within my connection to all things, all of Earth, would I ever find the peace I was looking for. The Wholeness my soul ached for. It was in a moment of intense grief after a loss, where I let everything go, because I had nothing else I could do. In was in this moment and the months to follow that the awakening and unfolding came.

It is in our birthright to reclaim this knowledge and many women have already been awakening to the wisdom that is whispering inside them.

That you are not separate from all that is. That you hold all the knowledge, awareness, peace, energy, and awakening inside you, right now.

It is the relaxing into, the RELEASING, that we can fee

l this oneness.

It is in the stillness, the rhythm of Earth herself that we can unfold into the energy that just IS.  It is the vital springing forth of all life. Shakti.  Life Force Energy. Chi.

We have been told we need to look outside ourselves to feel happy, abundant and peaceful. We have been told that we don’t have the power to heal ourselves. We’ve been told we need surgery, medications, and to “just get over it”.

When you awaken to your radiance, it is about truly believing in yourself, honoring your self, and connecting with your deepest power.

It helps us to make empowered decisions that come from our deepest desires, not from trying to please others or make others feel comfortable.

It is about releasing shame, blocks, and things that hold us from our truest potential.

This is the energy of all creation, and it is available within us and all around us.

We need a new paradigm for understanding our bodies and to not feel like we are being betrayed by them.

We also need practitioners who are skilled at holding space, honoring women, and understanding healing on the deepest levels.

That is one of my gifts.

The big ah-ha was that it was ONLY ME holding myself back.

And by holding myself back, I was holding out on my divine gifts to the world.

To even hold and acknowledge that I had a divine gift–to not just understand deep within, but within every cell of my body, and womb, was huge.

And, I decided once and for all, I was not going to be held back. It took a good 20 years of my life to come to this place.

On the fall equinox, I’m opening up my new offerings for women to heal, reclaim their radiance and activate their inner power.

There are several ways to work with me and I hope one of them resonates.

I look forward to our journey together dear one.

Full Magnetic Power

Full Magnetic Power

Full power turned on looks magnificent. It feels magnetizing. Your senses feel like they are on fire and it is at once calming and energizing, and a little chaotic all at once.

When you decide to take the plunge and strip everything down to its core, it can look nothing like life appeared in the past.

It’s scary shit for sure. But let me share that after that the dark night of the soul, when you arrive on the other side, you can’t even believe the strength you possess.

What does power in a balanced and beautiful embodiment look like?

It looks like a woman finding herself and all her glorious imperfections and perfections and merging the feminine and masculine sides of herself and really grasping how enormously beautiful her soul and her connection to source is.

It looks like a woman finding her passions and giving it her all, while still finding time to balance and support and nourish herself.

It looks like a women taking in a breath and breathing it all the way to her womb and letting this pure light and intention clear and let go of what she no longer needs.

It looks like a woman feeling scared, uncertain, but going past fear to come out stronger on the other side.

It looks like a woman feeling so much energy and pleasure in her own body that she feels like she may burst with the pure moment of ecstasy.

It looks like a woman holding hands in prayer in front of her heart, bowing her head and feeling the pulse of her blood running through her veins and feeling so amazingly grateful to be alive.

This, my friends, is what fully embodying power looks like to me.

And, it’s totally available to you to access.  The way I’ve been able to tap into this transformation is through my journey with my womb, yoni and sexual energy.

Sexual energy is life force energy and when we learn to channel it, and transform it, we can literally change everything in our life.

When we dive into deep womb and yoni wisdom, we unlock the creative powers of our feminine center.

There are so many ways to work with this energy, but I’ll be revealing some of my favorite ways to work with it with you very very soon!

Activating Your Desires

Activating Your Desires

What is it that keeps us from realizing some of our truest desires?

I believe much of it stems from if we believe we are worthy.

Do we think we DESERVE all that we desire.

But who are we not to deserve this. Who told you that you do not. It may come from deep inside–stories that were created when you were very young.

Born out of how you had to walk in the world.

How you may have had to cope with certain experiences.

What I’ve discovered along my own journey with self-worth and desires is knowing that is it really only myself that has stood in my own way.

When I fully began to own that belief, things started to shift.

What I thought was possible began to expand.

My dreams that I thought I’d have to keep on the backburner forever started to manifest.

Even when it didn’t seem possible, there they appeared.

I am here to tell you, beautiful, that it is possible.

Even if you have no idea how you’ll get from A to B.

Don’t worry about the details.  What you need right now is strong, strong belief.

You need unwavering faith.  Even when shit gets hard.

Even when you think, what the hell am I doing?

Because if I’ve learned anything in the amazing journey I’ve taken in the last 5 months, when you blow the lid off what you think is possible, you make way for the impossible to manifest.

To help you discover what some of your true desires are,  I’d like to share an exercise to get in tap with them.

And, I’ve learned a way to do this as women is by checking in and tapping in with our heart and wombs.

Here’s how to practice:

Sit in a comfortable position or lie down with your knees bent, feet on the floor or bed.

Place one hand on top of your heart.

Place your other hand on top of your womb space.  Right above the pubic bone and rest your palm comfortably there.

Begin to tune in with your breath–begin to lengthen your exhale.

Breathe in and out of your nose.

Breathe into your womb space and then imagine a spiral–like a figure 8–connect up to your heart space.

Imagine this as a continuous flow between your heart and womb.

See if images, sensations, colors, or words appear to you. No need to force anything, just see what occurs.

If your mind wanders, bring it back to your breath, and deepen it again to focus your awareness.

Practice this for as short a time as a few minutes, or whenever feels right.

Try doing this daily for a couple of days.

SEE, FEEL, and HEAR what comes up for you.

I’d love to hear about your experiences, so please leave a comment below after you practice this if you feel open to sharing.

With love,

The 5 Essential Vitamins And Minerals For Women Over 30

The 5 Essential Vitamins And Minerals For Women Over 30

People of all ages need to ensure they are getting their daily dose of vitamins and minerals, but it does become more important as you get older. Although old age is still a very long way away it may be time to start taking precautions to ensure you stay healthy as you get older, and if you are a new mother or you are hoping to start a family you need to make sure you’re getting all the essential vitamins for both you and your baby.

The healthiest way to get your vitamins and minerals is through good quality food and nutrition. There are many pills and supplements out there and if you are unable to get the required dose of one or more vitamins or minerals then supplementation is a good option in addition to naturally nutritious food.

The Top 5 Essential Vitamins For Women Over 30

Read on to find out which vitamins you can’t do without.

  1. Antioxidants

Everyone knows that antioxidants are essential for a healthy immune system, healthy cells and combating ageing, but do you know what vitamins and minerals count as antioxidants? This group includes vitamins A, E and C, all of which are essential for good health and well-being and may even reduce the visible signs of age!

  • Vitamin C is abundant in citrus fruits, peepers, potatoes, tomatoes and broccoli etc.
  • Beta-carotene is changed into vitamin A once in your body, and it is important for your eyesight and skin. It can be found in spinach, carrots, guava, kale and tomatoes etc.
  • Vitamin E is essential for healthy cells. It can be found naturally in sunflower seeds, peanut butter, what germ and hazelnuts etc.

2. The B Group

There are quite a lot of vitamins in the B group and all of them have their own health benefits, but the most important ones are B12, B6 and folate acid.

  • B6 is important for a well functioning brain and energy levels and it can be found in chickpeas, bananas, oatmeal and certain meats.
  • Folate acid helps with the production of new cells and may help ward off cancer. Folate acid is especially important for pregnant and breast feeding women and it can be found in foods like lentils, oranges, broccoli and Brussels sprouts.
  • Vitamin B12 is important for a healthy metabolism and red blood cells. As it is normally found in animal products like milk, eggs and meat vegetarians and vegans may need to take supplements to make sure they are getting enough.

3. The Sunshine Vitamin

Vitamin D works as a hormone and it transports calcium and phosphorus into your bloodstream to ensure your bones stay strong. Vitamin D is naturally absorbed from sunlight and so it should theoretically be quite easy to get, but if you spend most of your day indoors or it’s the winter season then you may need to boost your intake by eating fatty fish cheese, egg yolks or food that has had vitamin D added to it.

4. Eat That Cheese!

Calcium is a mineral which is very important for women after the age of 30. Calcium is essential for healthy bones and it is especially vital if you are pregnant, breast feeding or approaching menopause. Vitamin D and calcium go very well together and it’s a good idea to make sure you are getting enough. Calcium is mostly found in dairy products, but if you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, or if you prefer to get your calcium throught vegetables like I do, you can also find it in watercress, bok choy and kale.

5. No Anemia For You

Your daily dose of iron is very important for all women, but it is especially essential if you are pregnant or you experience particularly heavy periods. An iron deficiency can lead to fatigue, infection and iron deficiency anemia so to make sure you’re getting enough iron stock up on beans, wholegrain pasta, dried fruit, peas and spinach.

Too Much Of A Good Thing

It is possible to overdose on certain vitamins. Whilst you may think that the more vitamins you take the healthier you will become it is very possible to have too much of one or more vitamins/minerals in your body. Overdoses are very rare and a lot of vitamin supplements are still very safe, but in extreme cases a vitamin overdose can be very dangerous and possibly even fatal.

Vitamin D is very important for healthy bones and a vitamin D deficiency may lead to tons of health problems later in life, but too much vitamin D comes with its own set of problems. Having too much vitamin D in your system can lead to nausea, diarrhea, heart rhythm abnormalities, mental development issues in babies and, in extreme cases, it can cause permanent damage to your heart and kidneys. This is very rare, and I find that even with supplementation, I have never seen a case of toxicity.  If you are supplementing with high levels, over 5000 I.U a day, it is a good idea to get your blood levels checked at least yearly or as recommended by your health care provider.

Iron is very important for your red blood cells and it is something women are often concerned about, but did you know that an iron overdose can be fatal? It is actually the leading cause of poisoning in children under 5 so if you have young kids it is far better to ensure they are getting their recommended daily dose of iron from spinach, strawberries and eggs rather than relying on artificial means.

If you think that you would benefit from health supplements you will be fine as long as you stick to the recommended dose and don’t try to make yourself healthier by overdosing on certain vitamins and minerals.
